Location
This flat is set in a sought-after sector on Paris’ Right Bank, between its 3rd and 11th arrondissements, facing the Marais district, in the Oberkampf-Filles-du-Calvaire area. Everything is to hand in this lively, cosmopolitan district: trendy restaurants and fashionable boutiques, art galleries and cultural centres, as well as schools and entertainment halls. Filles-du-Calvaire (line 8) underground station is less than 100 m away and Oberkampf (line 9) underground station is less than 200 m away. Place-de-la-République, just a 5-minute walk away, makes it possible to reach the edges of the French capital in just 30 minutes.
Description
An impressive, modern, spiral stairway in the centre of the flat goes to the upper floor which stands out courtesy of its exposed beams. Here, the main bedroom adjoins a tiled bathroom, with a shower and a bath. This level also includes another two bedrooms of respectable sizes, a dressing room, a shower room, a toilet and a laundry room. This flat, with its double aspect and its many windows, is filled with light all day long; the sun illuminating first one room then another. The shimmering light can but further enhance the parquet flooring covering the floors in most of the rooms.
This flat also comes with a cellar. Furthermore, it would be possible to rent a car parking space in the building opposite, if so required.
Our opinion
This family flat, here in the very centre of Paris, takes on the appearance of a modern and picturesque residence. The extensive living space (a ground surface area of 163 m²) blends perfectly with the tranquillity and warm light, enhanced with a splash of colour here and there. The aesthetics of these premises, between shimmering wood and old decorative features, comfortably-sized rooms and contemporary additions, reveals a tasteful interior and an ingenious layout, which will equally well suit a young couple, both of whom work from home, as a family with children. These premises are even more appealing as they are to be found in one of the French capital’s Bohemian, arty areas, set between the Haut-Marais district and Place-de-la-République.
