Location
The flat is located in the south of the 18th arrondissement, in a small cobbled street leading up to the Montmartre hill, halfway between the commercial bustle of Barbès and the bohemian life of the Abbesses district, between fashionable addresses, small terraces and strolls in the Louise-Michel square. Film lovers can go to the dark rooms of the Louxor, a mythical establishment restored in 2013, and aficionados of colourful evenings can meet in Pigalle, a few blocks away. The Barbès-Rochechouart metro station (lines 2 and 4) is just a stone's throw away and allows to cross the capital from North to South and from East to West.
Description
The co-ownership property
This is a 1994 six-storey building which offers all the modern comforts: a secured entrance area with camera, a guard service, an underground car park accessible by lift (possibility of buying a parking space), and cellars. The discreet street facade hides a generous interior garden.
The flat
It is located on the first floor of the building, accessible by lift. The property has recently been renovated to a high standard. Behind the entrance door, the hallway library serves all the rooms providing a total living area of 86 m². The reception area is divided into a lounge and a dining room and gives access to the terrace via a double French window. Adjacent to the living room, the kitchen is functional. Entirely fitted out, it features a large glass roof allowing the light to pour in. A glass door has been installed between kitchen and living room to create a discreet serving hatch. In the sleeping area, the two bedrooms - generously sized and with straight strip parquet flooring - also open through glass doors onto the terrace. The bathroom has clean, chiselled lines and comprises a walk-in shower, a double sink and a large mirror. Further on follow a separate toilet, a laundry room and storage space.
The terrace
The 43 m² terrace is the centrepiece of the flat and has an ideal south-west exposure. It overlooks the gardens of the co-ownership property, in a quiet spot. At present, it is divided into a dining area and an outdoor living room. The property is perfectly landscaped and includes an automatic watering system.
Our opinion
"The heart of Paris is a flower. A beautiful flower of love that you keep in your heart, that you love for life" Charles Trenet once said. With this outdoor terrace designed like a secret garden, behind these high, tree-lined and bustling spaces, Paris becomes a city where everything is possible, a place where everyone can be their true selves, love and dream in complete serenity. Here, in the kind shadow of the Sacré-Coeur Basilica, in spaces bathed in light and turned towards the outside, life can only be sweet.
