Location
The residence stands, in the peace and quiet, at the junction of three busy shopping streets, Rue-Ordener, Rue-Damrémont and Rue-du-Poteau, in Paris’ 18th arrondissement. This old working-class district has, for several years, appealed to new inhabitants. Artists, students and young executives have settled there, attracting new food shops and innovative, gourmet restaurants. Enthusiasts will appreciate the municipal Jesse-Owens stadium which, right next to the residence, includes an athletics track, tennis, basket-ball, handball and volley-ball courts as well as a future swimming pool.
Description
The main room is steeped in light via a wide, sliding picture window that also opens on to the terrace. The luminosity is reinforced by the presence of large mirrors. At the end, a hall area leads to a bedroom, with access to the terrace, a shower room, with a walk-in shower, and a separate toilet. A lock-up car garage in the basement is also optionally available for separate purchase.
The residence
Immaculately kept, it was constructed in 1995 and comprises six buildings, housing a total of 156 flats and 159 car parking spaces on two basement levels. Its facades are enhanced with balconies and terraces. The entrance to the residence is protected by metal gates, fitted with a numerical keypad security system. The caretaker’s lodge faces it. Entrance to the building itself is protected by a videophone security system.
The living room
This spacious living room is steeped in light courtesy of a wide, sliding, picture window (with a remote-controlled shutter) that opens on to the terrace. The room is divided into lounge and dining room areas. At the end, large mirrors adorning the cupboards reflect the light and make the room appear bigger. It is followed by a small study area. The floor is laid with light-coloured, oak wood parquet flooring.
The kitchen
The kitchen, with its grey hues, can be reached from the terrace via a French window. It is fitted with numerous top and base cupboards, ideal for storage purposes. It also includes a Miele dishwasher, a pyrolytic oven, a micro-wave oven, a fridge-freezer, an induction hob as well as a plate warmer. Its two worksurfaces and its splashbacks are covered with ceramic tiles. The floor is laid with large, light-grey tiles.
The bedroom
Fitted with a double cupboard, the bedroom is laid with light-coloured, oak wood parquet flooring. A sliding French window, with a remote-controlled shutter, opens on to the terrace.
The shower room
This room is illuminated with natural light via a high window that looks down on to a large, walk-in shower. It is fully tiled and fitted with a heated towel rail as well as a ventilation system. On one side of the vanity unit is space for a washing machine and a tumble dryer.
The terrace
This terrace can be accessed from all the rooms in the flat. It has an unobstructed view and receives the sun as of midday through to the evening. L-shaped, it is partially covered. It is laid with teak wood flooring and its guardrails are made of glass. The terrace is also fitted with an electric socket, a water supply point and wooden planters.
Our opinion
Light is omnipresent in this flat and there is nothing to prevent it from flooding the interior of these premises, with their modern-day home comforts. The large terrace, acting as a main, central room, is ideal for residents to read, sleep or, quite simply, live in the open air.
