Location
The flat is located on one of the most beautiful avenues of Lyon, the former capital of the Gauls with a history going back to Roman times. Edged by plane trees in the heart of a residential complex of private mansions and townhouses reminiscent of those surrounding the Parc Monceau in Paris, it is close to shopping streets, numerous renowned public and private schools, and with easy access to the Parc de la Tête d'Or (Park of the Golden Head). All these factors contribute to the outstanding value of this property.
La Part-Dieu railway station is just 5 minutes away, with TGV high-speed trains connecting to Paris in 2 hours and Marseille in 1 hour 30 minutes. A Rhônexpress tramway runs directly from the station to Lyon Saint-Exupéry international airport. The A7, A42 and A89 motorway junctions are also within easy reach.
Description
The flat
The hallway leads to a monumental staircase and the original lift. The flat extends over the first floor, above a raised mezzanine. The carved wooden entrance door opens into the square entrance hall leading to a wide, 17m long gallery serving almost all the rooms. On either side of the gallery, four large wall paintings in the style of Antoine Watteau depict the four seasons. Each of the two large reception rooms with their three double French windows opens onto a terrace, providing an abundance of natural light. One of the terraces enjoys views over the park. There are five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a shower room, four toilets, three of which are separate, and a dining room. The ceiling height is significant. A laundry room, the kitchen with two large windows and its service entrance complete the dwelling. In 2017, the facade of the flat was restored under the supervision of an official "architecte des bâtiments de France", preserving its main historic features.

Our opinion
Living opposite the Tête-d'Or park, the city's green lung, is an absolute privilege. From dawn, when the city wakes up and calm prevails, it is most soothing to go for a walk or to exercise as you please using the private access to the park. The flat is a pearl to polish, enhance and embellish, its spacious rooms having retained all their authenticity.
This is without doubt a most memorable property.
