Description
The house
The house was built in 1974. It is made up of several geometrically shaped rooms and protruding sections. It has as many vertical windows as it does horizontal ones, which bring in natural light optimally throughout the day. The house’s zinc roofing was entirely renovated in 2015. It is made up of single-slope roofs and two-slope roofs and includes a thick layer of hemp and wood fibre insulation. The dwelling faces north and south. It has two levels. Its elevations are coated with white rendering. Double-glazed, wooden-framed windows fill the home with natural light, as do large glazed doors.
The main dwelling
The house is slightly raised. You reach it via a few steps that lead up to the entrance hall. This entrance hall connects to a spacious 55m² room with a ceiling height that stretches all the way up to the roof ridge. This triple-aspect space with sliding glazed doors is used as a dining room and, in its lower section with a fireplace, a lounge. A bright kitchen leads straight outside on the south side. By the entrance and set back from the other rooms, there is a 30m² suite that includes a bedroom and a shower room. Another section includes two bedrooms, a lavatory and a bathroom with 1970s decor. Also near the entrance, there is a storeroom that houses the boiler. The property includes an underground cellar that extends beneath part of the house. You reach it from outside. The floors in all the rooms are adorned with orange-tinged tiles. The house has remained in its original state since it was built. Interior renovation work would improve its comfort.
The grounds
The plot covers over 4,000m². In the local land use plan, it is listed as land that can be built upon. The plot has a court in front of the house. Vehicles can be parked in this court. Raised land takes up the rest of the plot. This raised land is uncultivated. It includes low stone walls on stony soil. Oak trees tower on this land. Lastly, there is a garden shed, which can be used to store gardening equipment.
Our opinion
This splendid gem is secretly hidden away among vegetation. It blends into its calm, natural backdrop harmoniously. Its bold architecture is unique, with spacious rooms and huge windows that bathe the interior in natural light. The delightful dwelling offers a pleasant lifestyle. The structure is in excellent condition, so all you have to focus on is freshening up the finishes, while keeping the 1970s forms that give this home its charm and character. In this way, the house will keep its originality and you will be able to live inside it comfortably all year round or use it as an ideal holiday home.
