Description
The house
The ground floor
An entrance hall connects to a lounge with a fireplace. This vast space is currently used as an artist’s studio. It has tall, broad windows that face the garden. This ground floor also includes an office, a utility room, a lavatory, a boiler room and two garages. The floors are tiled. A staircase leads upstairs. The shapes and materials of this staircase make it typical of the architectural style of the 1950s. Tiles and wood strip flooring adorn its steps. The staircase is fitted with a wrought-iron balustrade that has a chrome-plated handrail.
The first floor
The landing connects to a bright lounge that leads out onto a terrace. From this terrace, you can reach the garden below. On one wall, this lounge features a fireplace with a style that captures the era of construction when the house was built. Its shape recalls a wave. The rest of the first floor includes a bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe, a hallway, a bathroom and a kitchen. Mosaic-patterned parquet extends across this first floor, except in the kitchen, which has a floor of modern grey tiling.
The second floor
The second floor has four bedrooms, one of which has its own walk-in wardrobe, shower room and lavatory. Another shower room adjoins a bedroom. A third shower room lies next to the two other bedrooms. A separate lavatory and several storage spaces complete this level, which has wooden flooring.
Our opinion
The design of this elegant house from the 1950s is remarkable, both inside and outside. It is typical of the post-war period when the dwelling was built. You can move around its interior smoothly and its many rooms are bathed in natural light. Colour and brightness characterise its spaces. The large south-facing garden that extends behind the house is lush and embellished with flowers. It connects to a sheltered terrace. This outdoor haven of greenery is a precious asset in this urban property. The house’s three bathrooms make it easy for members of a large family to live together or for guests to enjoy privacy here. This pleasant property, undisturbed by city bustle, is a unique haven nestled in an urban area renowned for its cultural and economic vibrancy and for the excellent quality of life that it offers.
