Our opinion
Before roads, before maps, before Umbria became a name on a sign, this tower was used to keep watch. Thirty-five metres of stone raised by men who knew that the landscape was a matter of survival. The castle that stands beside it has weathered the centuries with the same silent determination. Lake Trasimeno glistens below. The Tuscan hills close in on the horizon. Nothing in this setting was built to please, everything was built to last. The interiors are still awaiting their final chapter. It is as much a responsibility as it is a freedom.
