Our opinion
Tavira hasn’t aged. It has matured. Whilst the Algarve was undergoing a facelift, this town continued to live at its own pace. Just a few minutes from the historic centre, the property is a testament to this enduring legacy. The stonework, the vaulted ceilings, the spacious reception rooms, the four suites, the cellar: every feature speaks of an era when buildings were constructed to last. A separate two-bedroom annexe completes the property, set apart from the main house. The beaches of the eastern Algarve are nearby. But from here, there is no sense of urgency.
