Our opinion
Menorcan stone has a tactile memory. Laid by hand, without mortar, it retains the imprint of those who lifted it before turning it into stables, an oven and arches carved into the thick walls of a rural house on the outskirts of Ciutadella. One must enter here slowly. Allow the alcoves to reveal themselves, let the stove in the living room take its place, understand why the ceilings were vaulted rather than flat. Every choice had a reason that time has not erased. On the upper floor, a raw space awaits, like a sentence begun by others and left unfinished.
