Location
Place Saint-Ferdinand is at the heart of the Ternes district, near the Porte Maillot in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. It is sometimes called "Saint-Ferdinand village". The metro station, the RER E suburban rail line, and the Neuilly-Porte Maillot tram station are just a 10-minute walk away. La Défense business district is four metro stops away.
Many cinemas and performance venues are nearby, including the Palais des Congrès de Paris (convention centre), as are numerous shops and restaurants.
Description
The entrance hall leads to a west-facing sitting room of over 35 m² on the Place Saint-Ferdinand side. It also leads to the kitchen. Glazed windows and doors run the full width of the building's facade and flood the sitting room with light. The ornate facades of the Haussmann-style buildings opposite are also in view from this room.
The apartment originally had two bedrooms, a kitchen, lavatory, and bathroom. It has since been reconfigured: the two bedrooms have been joined to form a single east-facing bedroom, and a shower room has been added. The flooring is wood strip.
The apartment will need renovation work.
The landing has two lifts. A garage comes with the apartment.
Our opinion
This apartment would make an excellent pied-à-terre or small main home in one of the most appealing districts of the 17th arrondissement. The area has a village atmosphere, with local shops and good restaurants, and Parisian life is within easy reach. The address is highly pleasant, as the metro, the Bois de Boulogne, and the Palais des Congrès are close by. Whenever one stays, it is easy to enjoy the pleasures of lively, residential Paris.
