Our opinion

This remarkable chateau is ideally located, tucked away between the cities of Brussels and Tournai in Belgium. It is hidden in vast, landscaped grounds. The grounds cover around 10 hectares and include two extra houses, one of which is nicknamed ‘the orangery’. The manor is tall, slender and elegant, flanked with two adjoining towers and punctuated with many windows that fill its sumptuous interior with natural light. Decor from the chateau’s time of construction enhance this splendid interior. The reception rooms look out at woods, farmland and a lake edged with tall trees that are over a century old. The unique property would suit a large family looking for space and freedom, yet it would also be the perfect guesthouse for tourists.
