Description
The House
With only one floor, the house faces south and is topped with a slate roof, while its walls are clad in light-coloured wood siding. Illuminated by wide double-glazed doors and windows, its interior puts an emphasis on volume, with several contemporary recesses.
As for the house’s front door, located on its northern side, it opens onto a foyer, which provides access, on one side, to a kitchen, and, on the other, a lavatory and cupboards, before terminating in an immense living room of approximately 70 m² with a fireplace and solid hardwood floors. With massive windows and a conservatory to the south, the living room communicates with a semi-circular patio providing 180° views of the garden and swimming pool. In addition, further back, a sunny kitchen faces the living room thanks to a large atelier window, while a utility room leads to the garage.
As for the bedrooms, they are accessible via a small corridor converted into a study, which provides views of a small Japanese garden and, in the background, the swimming pool. An initial bedroom, with glass double doors that open directly onto the patio and swimming pool, and a bathroom are separated from the living rooms by a few steps, while another small corridor provides access to a laundry room, lavatory as well as two bedrooms and a bathroom, one of which faces east and the other south towards the swimming pool. Lastly, the garage is easily accessible from the bedrooms via another small corridor.
The Outbuilding
Built in the same architectural style as the house with light-coloured wood siding, it extends over approximately 80 m² and is located at the end of the tarmacked drive. Used as a garage, storeroom and workshop, it has a convertible attic upstairs.
The Grounds
Entirely enclosed and landscaped, the grounds mainly face south, are completely sheltered from sight and provide views of the surrounding woods and countryside. Planted with a number of flowerbeds and shrubs, which are scattered throughout the immense lawn, the grounds are a paradise for gardeners and create a beautiful background for the immense swimming pool and its patio.
Our opinion
Nestled within the vegetation of its pleasant garden, this single-storey, ideally located villa is only a stone’s throw away from the vast beaches of Dinard. With its modern design, the house makes the most of its immense inhabitable volumes, where the comfort of its contemporary interior is combined with the elegance of only the best materials. Bathed in light by wide glass doors and windows, the bedrooms and living spaces look out onto patios bordered by thick vegetation, while the property, sheltered from view, but still easily accessible, would be the perfect place for a large family in search of space and serenity.
