Our opinion
Two centuries have passed over this house without asking its permission. The Marès stone arches still stand. So do the vaults. The pebble mosaic floors remain, neither destroyed nor forgotten. 130 hectares of Menorcan countryside surround this complex of interconnected buildings that generations have expanded to suit their needs, without ever seeking to erase what came before. Restoring this estate is not a matter of resources. It is a matter of perspective.
