Our opinion

This residence adjoins the Porta-San-Biagio, one of the city gates defending access to the historic centre of Lecce. Dating from the 16th century, it is therefore contemporary with the golden age of the noble city of Apulia, now the incarnation of Baroque architecture on the Salento peninsula. The tastefully renovated interior features spacious living rooms, spread out over a 141 m² ground floor and a 136 m² first floor. The oldest rooms are topped with majestic, triangular-arched vaults, whilst others have been renovated in a resolutely modern style. A 34m², corner, roof terrace faces the haughty facades of the neighbouring palaces. Below, in the citrus garden, a table is sheltered from the lemon trees in a stone alcove, like a box in an ancient theatre.
