Location

Transformed in the 19th century, the district extends from Place Bellecour to Place des Terreaux, flanked by the Town Hall and the Museum of Fine Arts of Lyon. In the evening, illuminated fountains and monuments offer a fascinating vista of the city. Close to the Parc de la Tête d'Or, the Place Maréchal Lyautey, the Place des Terreaux and the Town Hall, the central location allows you to get around the heart of the city on foot. The 1st arrondissement is the smallest of the Lyon boroughs. Opera, theatres, bars and restaurants, shops and markets can be found here, all of which contribute to this being one of the liveliest districts in the city.
In the evening, theatres, cultural venues and restaurants bring the Presqu'île (peninsula) district to life, while to the south of the area, the new contemporary Confluence district, the Lyon of tomorrow, is taking shape. It also means having France and the world at your fingertips: the Part Dieu and Perrache railway stations can be reached by metro in less than 15 minutes, and the Rhône Express takes you from the Part Dieu station to Saint-Exupéry international airport in 20 minutes.

Description

Set back from the Rhone quay, a few steps from the Town Hall and its bustle, the ground floor and cellars of the building were probably once used to store wine barrels. A ring in the building's alleyway used to moor boats on the previously unpaved riverbank is evidence of this past activity. Today, a driveway below the building, set back from the quay, provides parking for a few cars. The staircase and the common areas with their Burgundy stone floors reflect a certain sobriety. There are two flats on each floor of the building.

The flat

The property is on the second floor, with a surface area of 103 m² and high ceilings. The flat has been streamlined for a more private use. It comprises a square entrance hall with direct access to one of the bedrooms and the sitting room, a large and bright living room with a marble fireplace and large double-glazed windows overlooking the Rhône. Our opinion

The heart of Lyon beats between the Rhône and the Saône. This flat is the ideal place to live or a perfect pied-à-terre, with easy access to stroll around and discover the district, the town and the region. Ready to move in without any work to do, all this in a popular district of the former Capital of the Gauls.
