Our opinion
This vast 19th-century edifice is made up of two dwellings joined to form a single house, with a garden adorned with azulejo tilework. It looks down over the emblematic rococo palace of Estoi. The building’s shell has already been restored as the main structural works on the facade, roof, windows and networks have been carried out. But the finishes are yet to be worked on. Indeed, they are left to the discretion of any future owner. The property is remarkably extensive and includes no fewer than 30 bedrooms, as well as several bathrooms. From a panoramic roof terrace, you can see the true scale of the edifice, which is hidden in a lush 1,600m² garden dotted with almond trees, fig trees, citrus trees and vines. The surrounding village is picturesque and typical of Portugal’s beautiful Algarve region. It lies only a few minutes from the city of Faro, which is famous for its historical monuments and seafront.
