Our opinion
This splendid villa was recently renovated. It is just a stone’s throw from the Porta dos Currais gate, which marks the entrance to Estremoz’s historical centre. This old town, known for its white buildings, lies in Portugal’s beautiful Alentejo region. The authentically Portuguese villa has a contemporary interior that is bright and elegantly understated. The rooms are adaptable and you can move around the interior smoothly. The decor is pure white. The style is bold, with large windows that underline the haven’s spaciousness and comfort. The reception rooms, which include a large lounge with a mezzanine, look out at a lush garden in the shade of palms and cypresses. A swimming pool lies beside a barbecue space where you can savour some local specialities, perhaps bought at the famous market on Rossio square, as you sip a glass of Mouchão.
