Our opinion
The Wardour Valley has endured through the centuries without being transformed. Its ruined castles, its preserved estates, and this landscape—which Cranborne Chase shields from the outside world—speak to an England that knew how to choose what it wanted to preserve. In this setting, a residence of some 700 m² fits in naturally. The main house—a former community building on the Wardour estate converted into a spacious living area with open mezzanines—and a detached cottage: three distinct entities that form a cohesive whole. An orchard, an enclosed vegetable garden, and a Victorian greenhouse. Tisbury is just a few minutes away. London is two hours away. The rest of the world can wait.
