Description
Hidden behind a gate, the residence with a floor area of 240 m² is complemented by a striking building housing a vast swimming pool with spa and relaxation area. A separate garage can accommodate two cars, while the parking area next to the gate provides space for at least three vehicles. Next to the building containing the swimming pool, there is a shack housing the pool's machinery and gardening equipment.
A terrace of light-coloured flagstones surrounds the house and connects to the garden featuring a lawn dotted with trees, bushes and shrubs.
The house
The ground level extends over a floor area of almost 155 m² and is accessed from the entrance hall and through the large French windows in the sitting room and study. These open out onto the terrace that surrounds the house, providing both rooms with plenty of natural light.
The reception area of over 100 m² comprises an entrance hall, a sitting room with fireplace, a dining room, a study adjoining the sitting room, a kitchen with dining area and a large hallway with guest lavatory.
The sitting room, dining room and study have light oak flooring. Large white tiles cover the floors in both the entrance hall and the kitchen and its dining area. The space currently used as a study could be turned into a large bedroom with a closet and bathroom.
The first floor, where the three sleeping rooms are located, spans the two wings and is accessed by two staircases. The first flight of stairs leads from a corner of the sitting room to the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and lavatory. The second central staircase in the entrance hall leads to the other two bedrooms and a bathroom with toilet.
The two wings are linked by the roof terrace above the central ground floor.
The swimming pool
Built in 2016 by SKP Architecture, it has since won the award for "the most beautiful indoor swimming pool". The 36 m² pool is housed in a resolutely modern metal and masonry structure with alternating glass openings, glazed ceilings and stone walls. Including the surrounds, the surface area dedicated to bathing and relaxation totals more than 100 m².
The swimming pool can be accessed via the sliding glass doors or straight from the house entrance, via an underground gallery illuminated by the transparent roof panels.
The grounds
The enclosed, lawned garden with trees and shrubs surrounds the property, extending mainly in front of the reception areas of the house and the swimming pool.
Covering an area of more than 1,000 m², it also includes a cube-shaped wooden building that serves as a garage for two vehicles.
Our opinion
A main residence or a second home, just 30 minutes from La Défense and immersed in lush, green surroundings. Both indoors and outdoors have been treated in the same spirit, one of comforting contemporary rusticity. The garden and swimming pool are large enough to provide living and recreational areas that will delight young and old alike in both everyday life and during family gatherings. The pure lines, generous volumes and many openings create stunning vistas, in the secluded setting of a place filled with an overriding calm.
