Our opinion
Naoussa’s geography has not changed. The sea is still there, Naxos still lies opposite, and the late-afternoon light still falls in the same way on the whitewashed walls. What Cycladic architecture understood before anyone else is that there is no point in fighting against a landscape like this. It is better to yield to it. A 283 m² residence set on some 5,200 m² of land has adhered to this rule without exception. The building’s form follows the slope, the windows frame the sea, and the terrace of the master suite keeps Naxos in its line of sight. Three self-contained guest rooms, a landscaped garden, a swimming pool: nothing has been added that does not deserve its place. The beach is just a stone’s throw away. You almost forget it’s there, such is the beauty of the view.
