Our opinion

The history of the Apulia region is also that of the entire Mediterranean coast. In the heel of Italy’s boot-shaped peninsula, every town, every village, tells the thousand-year-old tale of Italy, from the Greek settlers through until the French imperial armies. The region is also the privileged holiday haven of the Neapolitan and Sicilian aristocracy who had their delightful country homes built there in the 19th century. This one is ideally placed between Galatone and Galatina, just a stone’s throw from Nardò and Lecce as well as from the famous beaches on the Ionian Sea. Standing in 1.3 ha of parklands, this villa spans 200 m². Although awaiting renovation works throughout, it already has a splendid neo-classical facade, giving it the air of a little country palace. This property once owned a genuine vineyard, yet another reason for developing a project based on agritourism, an activity that is very much in fashion in the region.
