Our opinion
Galatina is a little known town in the region of Apulia, the golden age of which dates back to 17th and 18th centuries. Virtually neighbouring Lecce, with its wealth of Baroque architecture, it endlessly stuns visitors with its Renaissance and Baroque palaces, featuring impressive and ornate porches and loggias. The town’s churches are not to be forgotten. A visit to the Saint Catherine of Alexandria Basilica, with its 14th century Giotto style frescoes, is a must. Residents of this impressive, stately villa, in an exceptionally beautiful town, will find themselves living with: An elegance almost worthy of a Greek temple. Original, richly decorated interiors, often perfectly preserved. A very large garden in the town centre. Terraces and an outstanding underground passageway waiting to be put to good use. All of which exudes the old-fashioned charm of an old family home, abounding in assets.
