Our opinion
Growing one of the oldest of Bordeaux’s appellations, the Côte-de-Bourg vineyards are laid out around the ramparts of the proud medieval town of Bourg, looking down on to the right bank of the river Garonne. This appellation is renowned for its red wines and cultivates a refined, independent image, in contrast to its illustrious neighbours. Reflecting this discreet elegance, this property extends over a dozen or so hectares of hillside, at the foot of an authentic house, typical of the French department of Gironde, recognisable by its dressed stone walls and its roof covered with Roman tiles. This fully renovated building is now separated into two separate abodes: the main, 280 m² house and an independent, 60 m² flat that could be transformed into a holiday rental accommodation unit. Merlot and Cabernet stock await an enthusiastic wine-grower who will turn their fruit into exceptional wines.
