Our opinion

In Setúbal, a coastal town between the Sado estuary and the Serra da Arrábida, a family home handed down through five generations bears witness to the 19th-century art of bourgeois living. The red ochre façade, punctuated by wrought-iron balconies, announces the size of this residence of around 990 m², with nineteen rooms spread over three floors. The sculpted coffered ceilings, original floors and large glass roof over the main staircase reveal an intact architectural heritage. Each floor forms a self-contained unit with its own reception areas, kitchen and outbuildings. The private garden of around 490 m² is a harmonious extension of the interior volumes. This unique configuration means it can be used for a wide range of purposes, including family homes, offices, hotels and rental units. Setúbal combines proximity to Lisbon with the gentle Mediterranean lifestyle.
