Our opinion
Close to Monsanto, voted "the most Portuguese of all Portuguese villages" in 1938, a large-scale estate set in 238 hectares of unspoilt countryside. The farm is certified organic and can therefore grow a variety of biologically controlled crops. The premises include installations for rearing cows, pigs, sheep, goats and chickens, and the property is dotted with fruit trees, chestnut trees, olive trees and vines. The complex also boasts an ambitious hospitality plan for eco-friendly accommodation, designed to ultimately include 44 villas and promote sustainable tourism. The ideal place for undisturbed holidays, combining walks in the countryside with cultural visits of the surroundings.
