Our opinion

This traditional farm complex can easily be reached from the Belgian capital. It is tucked away in the countryside of Belgium's Hainaut province, near the Waterloo battlefields and the historical city of Mons. The farm complex is arranged in the traditional Walloon layout: a quadrilateral plan centred upon a vast courtyard. The buildings are made of brick. They are crowned with roofs of slate tiles or traditional tiles. They include a main dwelling, cowsheds beneath haylofts and agricultural buildings. The grounds cover two hectares in total and include a pond. This farm complex would be the perfect site for a plan in property development or collective housing.
