Our opinion

An oak tree welcomes visitors. The entrance courtyard is arranged around it, before heavy wooden doors open onto a second patio, where a fountain murmurs in the centre of the house. Once a ruin, the old farmhouse has been transformed into a home. Rebuilt and extended, it has retained a vaulted room from its original state and, above all, the threshing floor where grain was once separated from the chaff. The terraces now look out over hillsides covered in olive, almond and oak trees that stretch all the way to the mountains. Further on, beneath a carob tree, a Moroccan-style lounge awaits the cool of the evening. Situated between Granada and Málaga, on a plot of approximately 1.28 ha – half of which is an olive grove – this is a home where every tree has its own role to play.
