Our opinion
This 16th-century townhouse in excellent condition is tucked away in the historical heart of a small, calm town in the valley of the River Meuse. With its brickwork elevations that are typical of Walloon architecture, this edifice is emblematic of its local region. The property has a main house and a self-contained annexe dwelling. Behind, the house leads out into a peaceful garden with magnificent views of a Gothic collegiate church from the 14th and 15th centuries. The interior offers spacious rooms, including an octagonal lounge with sumptuous decor. The house has an extensive loft that could be converted. There are also cellars, including a wine cellar. And there is so much to discover in the natural area around the town, from the undulating landscapes of Belgium’s beautiful Condroz region to the remarkable elegance of the Château de Modave.
