Our opinion
The historic centre of Tavira, with its narrow streets, saddle-back roofs and azulejo-clad façades, has stood the test of time with quiet dignity. Here, an early 20th-century mansion stands as one of its finest examples. Ten years of disuse have not taken their toll on the parquet floors, the stucco and wooden ceilings, the shutters or the double-height ceilings. The restoration followed the same approach. Two self-contained studios on the ground floor, three living rooms, a library, two suites and two bedrooms upstairs. A courtyard, a terrace. 500 m² that time had set aside.
