Our opinion
In the province of Lecce, Soleto was one of the centres where the Salentine Baroque style emerged and flourished in the 17th century. Today, some elegant residences still remain, such as this palazzo in the historical centre, which is particularly well-preserved and fully furnished. Once inside, past the porch from the street, there is a succession of vast living and formal reception rooms, here and there enhanced by painted or vaulted ceilings. To the rear of the building, the 1000 m² garden is planted with trees and large enough for a swimming pool or a sunny outdoor seating area. The sea is close by and the location is ideal for visiting Salento.
