This place was a natural choice for us. As a native of the region, my husband felt right at home here. I subsequently discovered the harmony of the countryside. Nature is in harmony with the discreet buildings shaped by the passage of time, set between the meandering banks of the River Loire and the vast forests of the Loir-et-Cher. The changing seasons cast ever-moving light here and invite you to slow down. It is this simple beauty, unspoilt authenticity and gentle way of life that we wanted to share with our guests.
A white track winding its way through the heart of a high-forest leads to the 900 m² country manor set within a wooded estate covering more than 130 hectares and featuring outbuildings – century-old structures renovated into private accommodation and built from tuffeau stone, which is typical of the region. Without the pomp and splendour of grand mansions, the property charms visitors with its simplicity and natural elegance. More than simply the sum of its architecture, the atmosphere it exudes captures one’s attention: a timeless gentleness, an understated charm and the feeling of a place untouched by the passage of time. Here, the key lies in the harmony between the buildings, the landscape and the spirit that inhabits them.

But the true essence of the place lies elsewhere: in its recent revival and in the spirit that has been breathed back into it. From 2019, following a major restoration project carried out with great passion over a year and a half, the property has regained its true character, which is a lively, warm and welcoming home. Completely renovated whilst preserving its 19th-century architecture, it now embodies a subtle balance between heritage, authenticity and the art of living.
We designed this country house to be a place where people can get together with family or friends, in a simple, warm atmosphere. Here, the silence is broken only by birdsong. People come here to take refuge, slow down, switch off and rediscover the joy of carefree days, spent lazing about and enjoying moments of well-being. We offer our guests a level of comfort that combines modernity, authenticity and attention to detail. My husband, who is passionate about arts and crafts and interior design, carefully designed every room. The house is home to works of art and carefully selected pieces that give it a unique character. A heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym, massage and yoga area invite you to pamper yourself. In the outbuildings, the Nordic bath and the bar provide the perfect setting for continuing convivial moments.
In Blois, “Assa”, a fine-dining restaurant run by a Franco-Japanese couple, serves refined cuisine that changes every day in line with the seasons and the freshest produce available. The Saturday market is a must-visit event – lively and colourful – with an atmosphere reminiscent of Provençal markets. From June to September, the Musée des Mariniers in Chouzé-sur-Loire offers “Une Gourmandise en Loire”, a leisurely cruise along the river aboard the Martinienne II – an authentic traditional “toue cabanée” – which combines the Loire’s past, the riverboatmen’s history, the vineyards and local flavours in one journey. The property is surrounded by a dense network of forest tracks ideal for walking and mountain biking.
The 900 m² chateau features a living room, a library, a dining room, a kitchen and a conservatory on the ground floor. It has seven bedrooms spread over two floors. The first floor, which is accessible by lift, comprises four elegantly decorated bedrooms overlooking the pond and two others overlooking the forest. Every room has a bathroom. The second floor has three bedrooms, a gym, a hammam, a sauna and a shower.
