Originally from Barcelona, I can reach the estate in just over an hour from my main residence. The estate's architecture immediately stands out in the Empordà landscape. Unlike traditional "masías," often built on several levels, this one comprises three single-story buildings. The house and its surroundings invite a simple and respectful relationship, attentive to both nature and its uses. An organic vegetable garden, available to guests, provides its harvest throughout the seasons. Nearby, the henhouse, home to a few hens, supplies fresh eggs daily. The two-hectare woodland provides peaceful picnic areas, bathed in soft light at the end of the day. The property includes a gym and a games room with a foosball table, and eight bicycles are available for guests' use.
In Bàscara, "El Pebre" serves simple local cuisine, while "La Barratina " in Orfes cultivates a friendly atmosphere with local dishes. Nearby, the markets of Torroella de Montgrí, on Mondays, and Bàscara, on Sundays, sell fresh produce and local specialties. In Empúries, gateway to Greco-Roman culture in the Iberian Peninsula, an archaeological site displays the remains of the ancient Emporiae, created at the beginning of the 1st century BC.
